Hey fellow readers, this is my first official blog post since the blog’s renovation. I hope you like the new design of the blog, surprisingly I adore it! As you might have known already, today we launched our new summer series called AppBytes were we review not so feature filled apps in 1 to 2 minute videos. As well as a new AppBytes episode being posted every Monday, there will also be a surprise video every Wednesday which could be anything from a full length review to a big giveaway. Make sure to stay tuned for all those exciting videos! Today we posted episode 1 of AppBytes on a soundboard app called Charlie Bit Me. This app lets you playback some of the most memorable excerpts from the viral video “Charlie Bit My Finger – Again” by HDCYT. Today this viral video has almost 209,200,000 views being the number two most viewed video besides one of Lady GaGa’s music videos. Speaking of which: I was part of a lucky few who were able to see Lady GaGa’s “Monster Ball” concert last night! It was amazing! GaGa is actually one of the most sweet-hearted people I’ve ever seen and even though she dressed up as a head of hair and wore a bikini with sparklers attached, her concert’s two main morals were very important ones: free yourself of what everyone says you are and you aren’t, be who you are. And, it doesn’t matter how much money you make or how famous you are, we’re all superstars on the inside.
Another cool thing about this concert was that if you txted a message or sent a picture to a certain number, it would appear on the jumbo-tron! That was pretty exciting! Also, if you txted another number you’d enter a contest where the winner would get upgraded seats. I didn’t win, but it turned out that GaGa pulled out a phone during the concert and called the winner’s cell to inform her that she had won, immediately after, GaGa’s phone rang, she picked up, “Hello Beyonce”. The crowd then cheered and Telephone begun. Here’s a picture from the concert.
Okay… Enough with Lady GaGa, let’s get back to AppBytes. The app we reviewed is developed by John H Meyer and is $0.99 on the App Store. And that’s basically all I can tell you about this app and the review. As our last update video explained, most of the videos you’re about to watch this summer have been shot in one day so that we can still post videos while Max is at camp. For any of you wondering, Max is at camp right now and will return on August 1st. That’s about all I can think of right now. See you guys on Wednesday on our surprise video which may or may not contain an iPad.
